Web Design:
What do you use to code your websites?
I do all of my coding the "Old School" way, using advanced HTML coding. I have access to Macromedia Dreamweaver, Flash MX, Adobe Photoshop and ImageReady but I prefer to work directly with the source code. It gives me better control over each element I work with.
Do you test your sites on different browsers, operating systems, resolutions?
Most of my designing is done on Windows XP, tested with the FireFox 3.5 browser at 1600x1200 resolution. But all of my sites are tested on Mac OSX in addition to Windows 7. The browser testing includes IE6, IE8 and Safari 4. All sites work at resolutions as low as 800x600.
What level of functionality do your sites have?
My sites are intended for informational and promotional uses. I have not designed sites that are used for selling products. If at any point I were to do so, the sites would utilize a PayPal shopping cart & checkout mechanism. A customer would then have to have their own PayPal account in order to receive orders / payments.
I do not set up sites that use frames, unless my customer specifically requests such. I do not offer flash based websites. All of my sites use basic HTML and simple java effects. This allows me to create an attractive, informational site, at a very affordable cost. HTML has greater compatibility than Flash & is easier to index on search engines. I do my best to optimize sites to show up on search engines (like google). But the customers MUST provide verbiage. If your page has no, or little, text it will not show up in search results.
What is this "1and1.com" thing?
1and1.com is the web hosting service that I use to set up people's websites.
Miscellaneous Services:
Can I get my artwork / photos burned onto a CD?
Yes. All artwork I create, including photos I've scanned, can be burned onto a standard CD-R and mailed to you at the flat fee of $10.
Origins of Albosauce:
What does Albosauce mean and why did you name your site after it?
The origins of Albosauce can be traced back as early as 209 C.E.. Albosauce was once worshipped by the Vikings as the God of Computer Graphics. Of course, he was a rather unknown deity to most cultures, since computers were not very commonplace in that era.
Is it true that Albosauce was named after a Norse god?
No. That is just a pretend story that I made up. I really don't know what Albosauce means, but it was the only ".com" domain name that hadn't already been taken.
